Cheap skids at Revfest!

The cancellation of drag racing at the Hunter Valley Revfest this year caused quite a bit of controversy. However, the power skid and burnout driving event has been given the green light to continue on and has become the focal part of the show.

Because of this, the event organisers have decided to slash entry fees into the driving activities.

But, by how much you’re probably asking? Click over the fold for a complete run down.

The organisers of Revfest have announced that entry prices have been cut to just $40, only $5 dollars more than the spectator entry fee.

“We have Development Approval from the Maintland City Council,” says Mark Arblaster, “they've placed a lot of trust in us and we do not want to abuse it one bit!”

The local councillors want to see this event succeed to help promote its longevity. They are planning to use Revfest to gauge the amount of interest there is for a car event in the Hunter Valley. "There are a lot of kids in the area with cars" adds Mark.

Mark further mentioned that they are expecting over 9000 people on the day. There will be plenty of amusements and activities to keep the young ones entertained. 32 trade stands will be setup offering numerous bits and pieces for your car, so make sure you crack open the piggy bank for some bargains.

The event is being held on Sunday 31st of October and entrants will need to get to the gates by 10 AM.  Spectators are allowed in from 12 PM and driving events will run until 7 PM. Everyone must enter via Debeyers road, Cessnock.
