Animal V8 Hyundai

The Hyundai Genesis sedan R-Spec is giving the Hyundai brand some big brass ones.

With a bored-out version of the company's 4.6-liter V8, the R-Spec's set to compete with its larger-engined rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E550 and Infiniti M56. The direct-injection 5.0-liter Tau V8 puts out 429 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, up from the 375 hp on the formerly most-powerful V8 Genesis.
